It’s What’s All Over Today

Saturday, September 13th, 2008

Was that the most grammatically incorrect title you have ever read?  Yea, me too.  But, it does have a meaning.  What in the world could that be?  Well, I’m discussing my children and their sleeping habits.  I’m writing about it every where trying to get someone to chime in with some thoughts on the matter.  So, if you will comment, I would love to hear some advice.  And, if you want to read and comment about it from another angle, check out these:

I just wanted you to know…

Saturday, August 23rd, 2008

I just wanted to make sure you know that I haven’t forgot about.  I’m checking the poll and will make my final decisions and do my research on that tomorrow.  From there, we should have some fairly good information coming our way.  So, stick with me, my husband has so surely you can too.

Hello and Welcome

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

Hello and Welcome

Hi, my name is Jerri Ann and I’m your new host for Marital Talk. I had a lot of thoughts about what I would tell you in my first post. However, after a visit to see our psychiatrist today, I thought I’d share this little tidbit of knowledge and introduce myself later.

*After discussing various anti-depressants and their effects on people.*

Doc: hummm, lexapro does that sometimes, but not like prozac did when it was new

*my husband and I both looking at him for further explanation”

Doc: when prozac came out years ago one of the side effects was spontaneous yawing and orgasm

*silence fills the room*

Doc: just remember, women can fake it

*more silence”

*My husband has ADD which is why he is a patient of my long known psychiatrist. I see him for depression and anxiety.*

I just wanted to look at the doc and say, “gee thanks doc, you spoiled my life plan”. Just kidding…we’ll get to that stuff some day. Not today, but some day.

And, again, I say to you, welcome!

Book Reviews Are Coming

Friday, August 10th, 2007

I have decided to do one book review every week. I will read the book, and then I will write a post about the book. The books will all be about marriage. I am going to be selective - I will not be reviewing any books that go against my convictions (I am a Christian),  that promote Gay Marriage, or Open Marriages, or any thing I am against. If you would like to suggest a book for me to read and review, feel free to comment and leave your suggestion. I read all comments (they all get emailed to me).

New Marital Talk Writer

Thursday, May 17th, 2007

Hello,

I just wanted to give a quick intro for any current readers of this blog. I’m Rhyah and I am the new Marital Talk writer. I’ve been married for 7 years, but I have been with my husband for 10 years. For those of you wondering if people really ever do marry their prom dates that answer is yes. I’ve been with my husband since high school and he was my prom date. We have two children and live in a rural part of Missouri. I look forward to having tips, advice, discussions, and fun with the topic of marriage and relationships.

Who do you trust to give you the advice you need to hear? Never fear, you can show up right here at Marital Talk. I’m working hard to bring you real-world tips to make your life “wedded bliss.” If you and your spouse are willing to work hard too, you just might find the treasure you’ve been looking for, right there next to you.
